Program Goals:
Teach respect for proper authority.

Strengthen character.
Promote an understanding of the basic elements and requirements for national security.
Help form habits of self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, responsibility and accountability.
Develop respect for and an understanding of the need for constituted authority in a democratic society.
Help develop leadership and management skills.

Platoon of the Month
Drill Team and Color Guard
These teams represent Goose Creek Memorial High School in parades, ceremonies, and competitions with other JROTC units. Drill Team members are expected to set the highest standards for the unit in sharpness, discipline, grooming and performance.
Marksmanship Team
The Marksmanship Team will practice and compete with air rifles in competition against other local and Regional MCJROTC Air Rifle Teams.
Physical Training (PT) Teams
The mission of this team is to develop discipline, physical and mental toughness to improve the overall self-confidence of cadets. They will compete as a team for awards.
